Specialty Baking

Our baked goods are inspired by our European roots and our love for exquisitely prepared and presented breads and pastries. We bake with wholesome ingredients that are fresh, unprocessed, organic and local where possible. All of our products are gluten-free and we work with alternatives to certain foods, grains and sugars that most commonly cause poor digestion or discomfort. At the same time we want our baking to really satisfy that comfort that comes from a sweet treat or the way freshly baked bread makes your mouth water and your taste buds go joyriding. We hope there is something in it for you all!​

Bread Loaves and Bagels

All of our breads and bagels are gluten-free and vegan. We are proud to use the finest organic certified gluten-free flours milled by our supplier in North Saanich on Vancouver Island. The breads are delicious fresh or toasted and also freeze well. Our most popular loaves are Olive,  Multiseed or Blueberry & Hazelnut.

Tarts and Pies

Our tarts are little works of art that delight both the tongue and the eye. We always use seasonal fruit, freshly milled spices and very often butter which makes for a melt in the mouth experience. Our signature tart is Roasted Pear & Frangipane.

Cakes and Cupcakes

We offer a delicious variety of cakes, cupcakes and muffins including many dairy free or vegan options. Some of our most popular creations include Cheesecake, Flourless Italian Chocolate Cake and Banana Cupcakes with Chocolate Ganache. We also have seasonal cakes such as Swiss Carrot Cake or Japanese Squash & Walnut Loaf. Should you wish to have a birthday cake made to order please feel free to contact us.

Pastries and Cookies

Our pastries and cookies are very European inspired and always have a nice and unexpected twist. Gluten-free donuts are sometimes filled like the Italian Bombolone or Austrian Krapfen and we serve a traditional Baci di Dama – a hazelnut delight from Northern Italy. Our most popular cookie so far is Chestnut, Cherry&Chocolate.

Disclaimer: We do not use the following ingredients in our recipes: wheat, peanuts, corn, soy (except small trace amounts in vegan butter). We prefer to use maple syrup, coconut sugar or Erythritol instead of regular cane sugar.

Our main suppliers provide certified gluten-free flours and we use our own baking equipment. However, as we are working in a shared commercial kitchen, we cannot guarantee our products to be free of trace amounts of any of these foods.
